DAY 2 Depart after breakfast and drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some of the best and most colorful game viewing in the country. Arrive at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch followed by time to relax. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge at sunset. Northern Kenya is a huge expanse of scrub desert, bisected by a few life saving rivers. A true wilderness, this area of Kenya is very sparsely populated, and game patterns have been little affected by humans. The region has a permanent water supply, the Ewaso Ngiro River. This river provides an oasis for the many elephant, hippo, and crocodile that abound in this area. Samburu is also home to the rare Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich with its distinctive blue legs, the shy Beisa Oryx and the Eland, the largest African antelope.

DAY 3 Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives exploring this arid wilderness. The great thing about Samburu is that it is located in a semi desert region of Kenya and therefore not overcrowded with tourists, so you are always assured of a fantastic game viewing.

DAY 4 After breakfast at the Lodge, you will drive for close to two hours to Aberdares National Park. You will have lunch at Aberdare Country Club. After lunch, you’ll take the special shuttle bus into the Aberdare National Park for your night at the famous Ark Lodge. Majority of your baggage will be left at Aberdare Club therefore ensure your toiletries and photography gear are packed in the bag that you will take with you. Make sure you bring a sweater at nearly 8,000 feet; it gets chilly in the evening. With it’s own waterhole and salt lick, the Ark offers superb game viewing from it’s myriad outdoor viewing platforms and verandas. Elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, hyena, leopard, the rare rhino and Bongo antelope are frequently spotted here.

DAY 5 After breakfast, you’ll be collected by your driver/guide and to drive to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru National Park. Arriving in time to check-in at the Lion Hill Lodge, a delightful lodge with beautiful views and friendly staff. You will enjoy stunning views from this lodge over this alkaline lake with its famous flamingos. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon drive in the Park. Nakuru is most famous for its concentrations of both Greater and Lesser Flamingo who feed upon the blue green algae with which the lake abounds. Up to one million flamingos turning the entire lakeshore to pink. Large numbers of Pelicans can also be seen on the southern and eastern shores. There are over 400 varieties of birds to spot. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 6 After breakfast, you will drive to the magnificent Masai Mara where you will have lunch at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. This Lodge is perched on a hill and has one of the most spectacular views across the vast plains. Mara Serena Lodge has a traditional Masai village design and rooms located in individual doom shaped huts grouped in a circular manner and each room has a private balcony.
Located to the south of Nairobi, and bordering Tanzania, the Masai Mara forms part of the huge Serengeti eco-system. The Mara spreads over 1510 square km of rolling plains, sudden rocky outcrops, and green winding rivers. The breath-taking beauty of the Masai Mara and its astonishing diversity of wildlife combine to ensure that the Mara is one of the most popular stops on a Kenyan safari. Each year, between July and September, the Mara hosts the spectacular Wildebeest Migration, one of the natural wonders of the world. Hundreds of thousands of wildebeests move across the open plains in an endless stream stretching from horizon to horizon. This movement is fascinating as predators like lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dogs, who rely on the herd for food, closely follow the herd. You will have an afternoon game viewing drive until sunset when you will return to the Lodge.

DAY 7 Wake up early in the morning to enjoy a game drive before returning for breakfast and a relaxing morning at the Lodge. Enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive until sunset when you return to the Lodge for dinner.

DAY 8 You have another full day in the Mara to explore this vast animal sanctuary in early morning and afternoon game drives. This day you have a chance to witness the sunrise over the Masai Mara from a Hot Air Balloon, an optional extra that you should not miss.

DAY 9 After an early breakfast, the driver/guide will drive you to Nairobi. You will have lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. You will be driven to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for the flight to Mombasa, where upon arrival you will be received and transfer to Baobab Beach Resort. Baobab Resort is set on beautifully landscaped gardens adorned with swaying palms overlooking the Indian Ocean on 200 meters beach frontage on Diani Beach, South of Mombasa. It has excellent accommodation facilities. There are also various recreation facilities that will keep you occupied during your stay here.

DAY 10 to DAY 14 You have four days to enjoy the various activities offered at Baobab Resort: kayaks, paddle boats, diving instructions at the pool, windsurfing and snorkeling. Motorized water sports like glass-bottomed boat, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving are available at extra charge.

DAY 15 You will be picked from the Resort and transfer to Moi International Airport for the flight to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, where you will connect to your departure flight.
